I Wish I was Bothered

I wish I was bothered to care what I should do

I wish I cared enough to try and do something

I wish I’d do something about how I’m not bothered

I wish not being bothered bothered me

I wish I was bothered to hound the powers that be

I wish I’d use my power to get others involved

I wish I was involved enough to bother those in power

I wish I’d bother trying to change the world

I wish people didn’t bother those they don’t tolerate

I wish we didn’t tolerate the hate we see directed at others

I wish we didn’t hate those angry, who don’t bother to hear us

I wish we’d bother them till they heard the truth

I wish people would bother to condemn their true oppressors

I wish the oppressed weren’t blamed for what’s gone wrong

I wish the oppressors were blamed and that would be enough to cause a bother

I wish we’d bother to stop fighting each other

I wish I was bothered that the TV shows consume me

I wish this time consumed was better spent

I wish I’d spend my time making others bothered about me

I wish I was bothered more by real life

I wish I was bothered to try and care enough

I wish they cared enough to think to get in touch

I wish I didn’t think talking about this would bother them

I wish the past didn’t bother me, now I just don’t bother

I wish I could be bothered to say more

Good Things Come to Those Who Hate

You got the morals that you taught us wrong

And real events begin to set them straight

As the world descends to hell below

Good things come to those who hate

We see a greedy one take all for himself

We’ll never be like him, karma shall seal his fate

Now we strive to be the best we can

But good things come to those who hate

We try and do what we think is best

We’ll be sparing when we choose what to take

But spectators hate us for how they see us

And good things come to those who hate

We see our neighbours have constant hard times

And the selfish seal their fate

Then they tell them who to blame

Good things come to those who hate

Our neighbours now hate our other neighbours

Our oppressor has directed their rage

He gets all he wants, now he’s seen as the hero

Cause good things come to those who hate

We kept the faith that good would prevail

We felt like everyone wanted this change

But our comrades are despised beyond belief

And good things come to those who hate

You told us that love would conquer all

This notion seemed quite strange

But it’s hatred that’s used to control everything

And good things come to those who hate

There’s one of your teachings I still hope is true

I repeat it inside my head

I hold onto this saying and hope it comes true

All good things come to an end
